About Us

Deborah Franklin was born on November 18, 1960, to Walter and Ada Franklin Wilson. At a young age, my mother was told she would never be able to bear children. After years of marriage in her first union without conceiving, she accepted what doctors had told her and believed motherhood would never be part of her life.
However, God had a different plan.
At the age of 39, one year after marrying my father in her second marriage, my mother conceived me. I was the only child she gave birth to, but our home was always filled with love. My mother and father opened their hearts to foster children, and through that journey I gained two sisters whom I love deeply to this day.
I was raised in a God-fearing home. We were not deeply religious in tradition, but I was taught something even more powerful: God is my source, and everything else is simply a resource.
In 1978, I graduated from high school and enrolled in Debbie’s School of Cosmetology, where I became a licensed cosmetologist. Around that time, both of my parents passed away. Losing their support, guidance, and wisdom so early in my life forced me to navigate adulthood on my own. Those were difficult years, and I quickly learned that some of the people you expect to stand beside you may not always be there.
Despite the hardships, life continued to unfold.
I became the mother of four beautiful children-two sons and two daughters. One of the greatest heartbreaks of my life was losing my oldest daughter, who preceded me in death. That loss left a space in my heart that will always remain.
Later, after the loss of my first husband, I became a widow. In that season, I believed I would never again find a love as deep or meaningful as the one we shared. Yet once again, God showed His faithfulness.
Love found me again.
Today, I am blessed to be married to a wonderful man who is not only my husband but also my soulmate and best friend. Together, we live a life centered on faith, family, and gratitude.
Some of our most cherished moments are the times we spend together as a familytaking vacations with our adult children and enjoying the laughter and love of our grandchildren.
Now, I write to share powerful real-life testimonies of love, loss, perseverance, and faith. My hope is that through these stories, others who are walking through their own seasons of hardship and healing will find encouragement, strength, and hope.

About the Author

My name is Deborah Franklin, born November 18, 1960. I am the only biological child of Ada and Walter Wilson, and I was blessed to grow up with two adopted sisters whom I love dearly.
I am the proud mother of four children, two daughters and two sons. In 2004, my oldest daughter tragically passed away, leaving behind her six-month-old son. Today, he is twenty-two years old and the light of my life. He calls me “Mama,” and I cherish the special bond we share. Through him, I continue to find joy, purpose, and strength being without my daughter.
The year before that, 2003, I experienced the profound loss of my first husband. He was my friend, love, and soul mate. The weight of losing my husband and daughter was overwhelming and deeply life-changing. Yet, through faith and perseverance, I found a path forward. God later blessed me with another loving partner, and today I am happily remarried to my second soulmate.
During my grief, I turned to writing to heal. What began as a personal outlet soon became a calling to encourage others who are facing heartbreak, loss, and despair. My faith in the Lord carried me through my darkest moments, and it is that same faith that I now share through my work.
All my writings are rooted in inspiration, offering messages of hope, love, healing, and the power of faith in God. My goal is to remind others that even in life’s most painful seasons, there is always hope-and through faith, we can overcome.
